All our programmes are accredited by the Institute of Physics.

The Institute of Physics is a leading scientific society that promotes physics and brings physicists together for the benefit of all. Accreditation is the means by which the Institute monitors the content and standard of physics degrees and keeps the wider community of physicists informed.

The Institute accreditation provides an independent, rigorous and valid assessment of physics degree courses and provides a guarantee to potential students that a course can satisfy the academic requirements for Institute Membership.

Holders of accredited degrees can follow a route to Institute Membership and the CPhys professional qualification. Graduates of accredited Integrated Masters degrees have fulfilled the educational requirements for CPhys status, while graduates of accredited Bachelors degrees have partially fulfilled these requirements, and need to demonstrate MPhys equivalence.
