My first job after graduating was an Electronics Design Engineer at a consulting system engineering company. I worked on all aspects of electronics system design and implementation.

I then worked in various start-up companies, (Scientific Generics, Stratophase and others) and held senior roles in quoted companies (Wharfedale and Oxford Instruments). I now work as an independent Technology and Business Consultant, using the skills I’ve gained over my career to provide consultancy services to business. 

My advice to prospective students is to choose a degree that delights you, not one that you think you ought to do.
