"I really enjoyed studying physics at the University of Southampton. It was a good mix of theoretical work and practical labs.

"There were many options when choosing modules, everything from maths to history of science to medical physics and nano-science. I loved the variety in my degree.

"Since graduating last year I have begun a PhD in Medical Physics at the Institute of Cancer Research.

"I love how all the theory that I learned in my undergraduate studyies can be applied to real-life problems.

"Physics is about problem solving, finding out how stuff works and why things happen. I enjoy a challenge and like working out logic puzzles; this is why I chose physics.
