Meet the Employers Day 4.00 - 7.00 pm, 5th Floor Seminar Room. The South East Physics Network is sponsoring this event for undergraduates in 2nd, 3rd and 4th Years to learn about career options from employers of Physics graduates in the South East. There will be a selection of regional companies with exhibit stands, available to discuss their work. School of Physics & Astronomy students and staff are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend. 7-14th January, 2009

The third International School of Nanophotonics will be held in the cheerful city of Santiago, on the South West coast of Cuba on the 7-14th January 2009.

The School offers introductory lectures to acquaint the attendee to the fundamental physics of modern micro and nanostructured optical systems with particular focus on the physics of light-matter coupling in low dimensional semiconductors such as microcavities and quantum dots.
